On the 100th Day of School, students made hats, counted to 100 (by 1's and by 10's), did 100 exercises, created 100 item necklaces out of Fruit Loops by counting out 10 sets of 10, and students gave responses for: "I would WANT 100 ____."
"I would NOT want 100____."
Next week, students will be able to answer the question, "What is a desert?"
Skills we worked on this week include:
- Second Step Social Skills- Joining in with play
- Small Groups- Pre-K Rule Book page, animal teeth response, exploring properties of sand, exploring characteristics of rocks (using magnifying lenses and comparing the weight of rocks by using the balance scale), letter formation and understanding that print carries meaning, beginning reading skills, and measuring using non-standard form of measurement with the "Actual Size" book.
